Summary
Kiryuu Setsuna, known as the Beautiful Beast, is a figure whose past is deeply entangled with Tokita Ohma’s. He served as the representative for the Koyo Academy Group in the recent Kengan Annihilation Tournament and resurfaced two years later to interact with Gaoh Ryuki. Born within the Inside as livestock for his wealthy biological father, Setsuna endured a life of abuse and neglect. Before he could be harvested, a young Tokita Ohma slaughtered his captors, mistakenly believing they were encroaching on his territory. Viewing Ohma as a divine punisher for his own sinful existence, Setsuna chased after him, remaining in the Inside to seek out this "god." To gain the resources necessary for his pursuit, he sold himself into child prostitution and gained the favor of a powerful man in Goyu Ward. He then crossed to the Outside to kill his biological father, stealing his wealth and connections to continue his search. When Setsuna finally located Ohma in the Inside, he eagerly ran toward his "punishment," only to discover Ohma had been corrupted by the devil, Tokita Niko. It was here that Setsuna met The Other Tokita Niko, who explained Niko’s nature and taught him the Niko Style. Guided by The Other Niko, Setsuna sought out and became the student of martial artist Taira Genzan. Two years later, Setsuna returned to the Inside and confronted Ohma once more. He forcibly activated the Possessing Spirit, a power granted by The Other Niko, which caused him to rampage violently. Ohma nearly killed him but was halted at the last second by the arrival of Tokita Niko. As Niko stopped Ohma’s assault, Setsuna watched him battle The Other Niko. Shortly after this event, Setsuna’s master, Taira Genzan, killed Niko when they were young. Over the next ten years, Setsuna and Genzan engaged in Death Fights. Before Ohma could avenge Niko, Setsuna killed his own master, intentionally provoking Ohma’s wrath.
