Beerus

Summary

Among the pantheon of deities spanning the cosmos, Beerus stands as the most terrifying figure, instilling dread even in the ranks of Kaios and Kaioshins. As a God of Destruction, his primary duty is to preserve universal equilibrium, though he wields this power with extreme prejudice. He exercises autonomous judgment when obliterating planets, often doing so without hesitation even if those worlds hold significant value. If the task proves bothersome, he readily delegates the role of destruction to an agent. His unpredictable nature means that life for the Supreme Kais is perpetually tense during his waking hours, as no one can predict how many planets might be sacrificed. Drawing inspiration from feline behavior, Beerus is notoriously lazy and moody; his sleep cycles vary based on his temperament, making his awakenings and subsequent acts of devastation entirely unpredictable. He is also highly irritable, capable of wiping out a person’s home world for the slightest provocation. His physical appearance reflects influences from Ancient Egyptian mythology, particularly the deities Seth and Sekhmet. Seth, a humanoid with a jackal-like head, is revered in ancient Egyptian culture as the god of deserts, storms, darkness, evil, strength, winds, war, conflict, and chaos.
