Kogoro is a human-like alien and space detective who shares a childhood history with Keroro. Despite his profession, he performs poorly at his duties and survives on a tight budget in a low-cost apartment. He typically maintains a grinning, laughing demeanor regardless of his true emotional state. His hobbies involve collecting colored boxes. His physical appearance and mannerisms serve as a parody of Kenji Ooba, the protagonist of the tokusatsu series Space Sheriff Gavan.
