Zoruru

Summary

Zoruru is a gray Keronian frog whose left side has been fitted with metal implants, including an extendable blade on his left arm that serves as his primary weapon. He possesses an artificial eye replacing his right one, while his entire left face is shielded by a metal plate. Motivated by a grudge against Dororo, he remains fixated on exacting revenge. During the Keroro Platoon's invasion of Pokopen, Zoruru destroyed Mutsumi and Koyuki in an attempt to lure Dororo out, though Dororo later revived them using his ninja powers to pierce their ship. Zoruru finally confronts Dororo after the conflict between the Keroro and Garuru Platoon, revealing that the invasion was merely a pretext to find Dororo for vengeance. However, Dororo has no memory of Zoruru, desperately trying to recall his name by mistaking him for former classmates like Girara, Dasasa, and Tosasa. This lack of recognition deeply disappoints Zoruru, leading him to slowly fade away. When the Garuru Platoon departs, Zoruru is positioned in a manner reminiscent of Dororo's trauma switch. Following this incident, a running gag establishes that Zoruru is constantly forgotten, such as being excluded from introductions in the special chapter of volume 13. Additionally, in the Tokyopop edition of volume 10 of Keroro Gunso, his dialogue featured a backwards letter R, a stylistic choice that was dropped in subsequent volumes and his brief appearance in volume 13.
