Denmark

Summary

Representing the Kingdom of Denmark, this character is self-proclaimed as the “King of Northern Europe,” radiating youthful energy and humor. He views himself as the big brother of the Nordic nations, maintaining a goofy and cheerful grin regardless of the circumstances. Historically, he ruled over Finland and Sweden, but their rebellion and departure were driven by his difficult nature and lifestyle, which clashed sharply with their own. He regards Norway as his best friend, a bond rooted in their shared childhood, though Norway does not reciprocate this closeness. While Norway frequently bullies and mocks him, Denmark is too dense to recognize the abuse. His personality is often seen as obnoxious, stubborn, and bossy, with a controlling streak that makes him hard to get along with. Despite this reputation, he is genuinely friendly and good-humored, working hard even though he appears carefree. He speaks in an Ibaraki dialect and is a heavy drinker. Although his official human name remains undecided, author Hidekaz Himaruya has considered first names such as Abel, Andersen, Arneson, Bertram, Christensen, Magnus, Mikkel, and Simon, paired with the surname Densen.
