Kinniku, Ataru
Summary
Kinniku Ataru is a Seigi Choujin hailing from Planet Kinniku. He is the eldest son of the Royal Kinniku Family and the older brother of Kinniku Suguru, the protagonist of Yudetamago’s manga and anime series Kinnikuman and its sequel Kinnikuman Nisei. Originally appearing in Manga Chapter 272 and Anime Episode 1, Ataru stands 197 cm tall, weighs 102 kg, and has a Choujin Kyoudo power level of 1,080,000. He possesses a Blood Type O and trained under Mayumi Kinniku. Ataru’s trademark techniques include Napalm Stretch, Face Flash, and Ataru’s Muscle Spark. His abilities are fueled by what he calls True Friendship Power (Shin Yuujou Power). He also utilizes a prototype version of the Kajiba no Kuso Djikara known as Gouka no Kuso Djikara, referred to as Original Burning Inner Strength in the anime. During his childhood, Ataru could not endure the strict Spartan-like training imposed by his parents and ran away from home. Since this occurred before Suguru’s birth, Suguru was initially unaware of Ataru’s existence. However, Ataru watched over his younger brother from the shadows as Suguru fought against Evil Choujin, ensuring he learned the value of friendship. Ataru returned after 25 years during the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne. As an experienced Senpai Choujin, he is viewed as an older brother not only to Suguru but to the other Idol Choujin as well.
