Silva serves as the father of Killua and is portrayed as a quiet, contemplative individual, with his interactions being quite limited. He permits Killua to accompany Gon on their journey, though his true motivation is to ensure his son gains valuable experience for when he is eventually cast out into the real world to fend for himself. During the September third segment of the York Shin City arc, Silva and his father Zeno are contracted by the Mafia to eliminate the Genei Ryodan. However, they withdraw from the mission after their employers are murdered by Illumi, Maha, and Karuto.
