Rikichi serves as an unseated officer within the 6th Division, a placement driven entirely by his reverence for Renji Abarai, whom he considers a hero. This deep admiration was so intense that he went so far as to break Hanataro Yamada out of jail to rescue him. Visually, Rikichi sports a tattoo above his left eye in honor of Renji. His hair is parted on the left side and fans out at the tips, featuring three beaded strands on the left.
