Summary

Eri Kisaki is the mother of Mouri Ran and the legally separated spouse of Mouri Kogorou. A respected and feared lawyer, she frequently assists in Mouri’s investigations, serving as an extra pair of eyes during crime scene inquiries. Despite her disdain for his drinking and nanpa habits, she maintains deep affection for him, often testing his feelings to ensure he still cares for her. She and Mouri were childhood best friends who fell in love during their teens, a dynamic similar to that of Shinichi and Ran or Heiji and Kazuha. However, the couple separated ten years prior to the start of the Detective Conan storyline, pursuing separate paths. Eri dedicated herself entirely to her legal career, earning a formidable reputation in her profession. Widely considered incredibly attractive, Eri rejects admirers of various ages due to her enduring love for Mouri. During her time at Teitan High School, she and Yukiko were tied for the title of most beautiful girl, yet they remained close friends. This bond allowed little Shinichi and Ran to play together frequently, though Shinichi recalls Eri often scolding him for causing trouble. Her personality aligns with her profession, as she is inquisitive and actively participates in investigations, much to Mouri’s annoyance. She owns a Russian Blue cat named "Goro" and shares a strong friendship with her secretary, Kuriyama Midori. Highly intelligent with a sharp eye for detail, Eri is also a skilled judoka trained by Mouri. Her deductions are nearly always accurate, allowing her to provide significant help in cases. Ran frequently seeks her counsel regarding her relationship with Shinichi, to which Eri has half-jokingly advised against dating a detective.
