Summary
Eight is an orange nursing robot created by the Sanzenin Technology Division with the goal of being the ultimate caretaker. He is waterproof and armed with nursing missiles and rocket boosters. Despite his utility, he possesses a quick temper and is prone to seeking revenge when insulted, such as after being called ugly. His drive for vengeance stems from a desire to prove his worth to his creator, Shiori, whom he loves. However, Shiori is often dismissive of him, once joking that she made a mistake in his designation by not simply incinerating him. After receiving an upgrade, Eight finally confesses his feelings and becomes Shiori's boyfriend. He undergoes several upgrades throughout the series, including versions v8.1, v8.2, and v8.3, and changes form after Shiori transfers to Hakou Academy. In the anime adaptation, he steals a control chip from Nursing Robot Nine to reach v8.1, transforms into his second form v8.2, but is reverted to v8.1 after losing a battle to Yukiji and Hayate.
