Sarashina, Kyuusuke

Summary

Kyuusuke attends elementary school alongside Chibiusa and is recognized for his athletic prowess, though he also possesses a sarcastic nature. In Episode 155, he becomes the target of the Amazoness Quartet. Specifically, Amazoness JunJun approaches him while he is trying to conquer his fear of the vault, an obstacle that hinders his performance in the athletic relay. To force him to jump, JunJun attempts to capture his dream mirror, but the scare inadvertently boosts Kyūsuke’s confidence, allowing him to continue the competition after Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon intervene to save him. Kyuusuke plays a pivotal role in a subsequent episode when Chibiusa befriends a boy named Hiroki, who is attempting to construct a flying machine. Although Kyūsuke initially feels resentful toward Hiroki and envious of Chibiusa’s admiration for his dreams, he eventually shifts his stance. After witnessing Hiroki’s repeated failures, Kyūsuke encourages him to persist, explaining that some dreams require assistance from others and remain beautiful regardless. With Kyūsuke’s help in pedaling the machine, Hiroki gains the necessary power and endurance to achieve flight.
