Summary
Twelve-year-old Tamayo is a quirky classmate and close friend of Misaki, whom she affectionately calls "Misakichi." Her eccentric personality shines through her habit of practicing martial arts on her reluctant friend Kotaro. She is a vocal supporter of Misaki, loudly cheering for her during Angelic Layer matches and fiercely defending her skills against doubters. Tamayo harbors secret romantic feelings for Kotaro, which explains why she insists on adding "chan" to his name despite his protests that it is reserved for girls and children. When Hatoko falls ill before Misaki’s national match against the Angelic Layer Company’s angel, Tamayo steps in to serve as Misaki’s second, having been offered the role before Ohjiro ultimately took it.
