Synopsis

Upon arriving in Tokyo at age twelve to reside with her aunt, Misaki Suzuhara is immediately drawn into the thrilling realm of Angelic Layer. In this high-speed, high-tech pastime, miniature dolls known as Angels are guided by the mental commands of their operators, called Deus. Sharing this newfound passion with her new acquaintances, Misaki constructs her very own Angel, Hikaru, and steps into the arena. Here, the outcome of battles relies less on physical size or brute force and more on the sheer will and determination of the participants. As fierce rivalries emerge and the national championships approach, Misaki discovers that not everyone she encounters will be an ally. She must now navigate the intense pressure of relentless competition while simultaneously trying to adjust to life in an unfamiliar metropolis.
