Summary

Kudou Yukiko, the mother of Kudou Shinichi and wife of Yuusaku, is among the rare individuals aware that Shinichi transforms into Edogawa Conan. A former celebrated actress, she stepped away from her career after marrying Yuusaku, yet she maintains strong connections within the film industry. During her youth at Teitan High, Yukiko was poised for a bright future in cinema, making her sudden retirement and marriage to Yuusaku a shocking surprise to the public. She later earned the moniker "Night Baroness," derived from one of her husband’s roles, after inadvertently solving a criminal case by revealing clues on live television. Her expertise in disguise, honed under a renowned stage magician, once led her to meet Sharon Vineyard, with whom she formed a close bond. Although Yukiko attended Sharon’s funeral, the event was marred by a scandal involving Sharon’s daughter, Chris Vineyard. Yukiko’s world was turned upside down when Shinichi revealed the truth about Sharon’s survival and her ties to the Black Organization. Motivated by a desire to confirm these facts and to protect Haibara Ai from the organization’s threats, Yukiko confronted Sharon directly. Despite her maturity, Yukiko retains a bubbly, attention-seeking personality reminiscent of a teenager. She is overconfident and prone to jealousy regarding Yuusaku’s flirtatious nature. Additionally, she is a reckless driver and highly sensitive about her age; if Shinichi refers to her as oba-san, she reacts with such fury that Conan is forced to quickly correct himself by calling her onee-san instead.
