Pan, Yuling
Summary
Yuling, the sister of Panguanglin and the romantic partner of Kenshirou, initially crosses paths with Kenshirou when she tends to his injuries after he suffers a severe beating. She appears to have Christian faith and was originally promised in marriage to Mangkuangyun by her adoptive father as part of a debt settlement. However, since Yuling was already in love with Kenshirou, a jealous Mangkuangyun wiped her memory and abandoned her with a warlord in Northern China. There, she assumed the identity of Li Xiubao, a horse bandit leader who conducted guerrilla skirmishes against the Imperial Japanese Army, developing a deep-seated hatred for the Japanese while also mastering a Praying Mantis martial art style. After reuniting with Kenshirou in Shanghai, Yuling recovers her lost memories and eventually marries him. Following an assassination attempt that leaves her brother Panguanglin crippled, she takes over as the new leader of the Qing Bang.
