Summary
Osamu Mikumo serves as a central protagonist in World Trigger, representing a unique case within the Border organization due to his exceptionally low Trion level. Originally saved from a dire situation by Yuuichi Jin, Osamu officially joined the ranks of Border, initially known to outsiders simply as "Four Eyes" rather than by his proper name. His journey within the organization saw him rise through the ranks, achieving B-Rank status and eventually taking on the role of Shooter and leader for the Tamakoma-2 squad, formerly referred to as the Mikumo Squad. Personality-wise, Osamu is defined by his unwavering honesty and moral integrity. This trait is so pronounced that Yuuma Kuga, who possesses the ability to detect falsehoods, finds it impossible to doubt him. Driven by a strong sense of justice, Osamu is both determined and courageous, frequently placing himself in harm’s way to assist others. It is suggested by Yuuichi Jin that his primary motivation for joining Border stems from a desire to protect and help those around him, particularly Chika Amatori.
