The production committee for the TV anime of Jura's Kanojo no Tomodachi released a bold second key visual and the first teaser promotional video on July 6. The materials spotlight the central trio and the quiet tension as one friend begins to test the boundaries of a new relationship.

Studio Quad is bringing the story to screen with Takashi Andō directing. Ryūji Iwata handles character designs and serves as chief animation director alongside Akira Koshiishi and Konatsu Kumagai. Additional staff announcements cover prop design, art direction, color design, sound, photography, and editing. The confirmed cast includes Ryūga Nagaike as Takeru Hidaka, Sayahana Hanemurasaki as Kaori Koga, and Miki Hase as Tomoko Yoshida.

Takeru, an aspiring doctor, has just started dating the bright but somewhat clumsy Kaori. When her glamorous friend Tomoko begins making advances, the young man faces a temptation that threatens both his future ambitions and the relationships around him. The new visual captures Tomoko's subtle approach while the teaser hints at the emotional and physical stakes.

The manga has built a following through its serialization on Kodansha's YanMaga Web, Comic Web, and Magazine Pocket platforms, with multiple collected volumes released. The October 2026 premiere will test how the adaptation handles the source's provocative themes of desire, loyalty, and risk.
