Returner's Magic Season 2 Drops First Promo, New Art Staff, Tokyo Screening

The official site for A Returner's Magic Should Be Special Season 2 put out the sequel's first promotional video on Friday, offering a look at the next round of "recalculations" Desir Arman will fight through when the series returns this October. Fuji TV's +Ultra block will carry the new season on Wednesday nights at 24:45 (Thursday 12:45 a.m.), with Crunchyroll streaming it outside Japan.

The clip brings Desir back alongside Romantica Eru, Pram Schnaizer, and Azest Kingscrown, mixing new story footage with flashes of Desir's buried past and battles that look a step more brutal than last time. FLOW returns on the opening with a new track, "Sorrow," while krage takes the ending, "Everlasting."

Director Taishi Kawaguchi and series composer Takamitsu Kouno remain at Arvo Animation, with Hiromi Katou still on character design. The sequel fills out the art department with Daisuke Negishi as art director, plus art designers Satoshi Fujimoto, Taiga Saitou, Takeshi Mukai, and Tetsuo Imaizumi. Gou Sadamatsu joins on editing, and Hayate is now credited as the production banner.

Before broadcast, the four leads — Takuma Terashima, Sayumi Suzushiro, Natsumi Fujiwara, and Asami Seto — will greet fans at a Shinjuku Wald 9 advance screening on October 3. Lottery tickets via Ticket Pia opened the same day the promo dropped.

The series adapts Usonan and Wookjakga's Korean manhwa, itself drawn from Usonan's KakaoPage web novel. Arvo Animation's first season ran 12 episodes in fall 2023.
