Fate/strange Fake Reveals Next-Season Teaser Visual at Anime NYC

The false Grail War in Snowfield is heading back to television. During the Fate/strange Fake panel at Anime NYC on Friday, Aniplex confirmed a new season is in production and showed a teaser visual of three figures behind cracked glass, stamped with "Rise Against the Rules" and "New Season Confirmed." A follow-up video landed on Saturday, echoing the "to be continued" card that closed episode 13 in March.

A-1 Pictures previously delivered the 2023 special Whispers of Dawn and the 13-episode Winter 2026 series, which Crunchyroll simulcast with subtitles and an English dub. The new campaign has not named a broadcast window, episode count, or returning crew, though the first season was directed by Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume, with Hiroyuki Sawano on the score.

The show adapts Ryohgo Narita's Dengeki Bunko light novel, a TYPE-MOON side story illustrated by Shizuki Morii. It began as a 2007 April Fools gag on Narita's site before Kadokawa started publishing it in earnest in 2015; volume 9 arrived in 2024, with a manga by Narita and Morii running in parallel. Both the author and the illustrator posted comments celebrating the new series, as did Japanese and English cast members including Kana Hanazawa (Ayaka Sajou) and Yuki Ono (Saber).

For now the headline is the continuation itself. Snowfield's irregular Holy Grail War still has unfinished business, and A-1 Pictures is going back in.
