THE RIBBON HERO Adds Five Voices—Including Three Nijisanji Firsts

Netflix’s anime feature THE RIBBON HERO has locked in five more voices for the mining crew who rally around Princess Sapphire after she reaches Goldland. The lineup pairs veteran seiyuu power with a high-profile VTuber crossover just days before the film’s worldwide launch.

Yoshimasa Hosoya steps in as Rock, the group’s leader—a stylish surface with a craftsman’s spine. Nijisanji’s Mito Tsukino voices Hecate, described as emotional, honest, and fiercely strong; Yusuke Tezuka takes Chorogi, the clumsy worrier with a sunny streak. Twin roles Chick and Tuck go to Lunlun and Debidebi Debiru, marking both performers’ first full-length anime credits.

A third trailer underlines the stakes: Sapphire, stripped of her homeland by the disaster Nergal, finds hope among Goldland’s people—then faces the calamity again. Bonds with her new allies push her to claim the Ribbon Hero mantle while Velvet’s motives stay deliberately murky.

Inspired by Osamu Tezuka’s classic Princess Knight (Ribbon no Kishi), the film arrives exclusively on Netflix worldwide on August 8, 2026.
