Shueisha Day-One Simulpubs Sango Honda's Finding the Invisible Star

Shueisha opened a new serialized romance with an immediate global footprint this week. On Thursday, creator Sango Honda's Finding the Invisible Star (Nanatōsei o Mitsukete) launched on the publisher's Shonen Jump+ service, while English-language MANGA Plus began carrying the first chapter as a same-day simulpub.

Set in 2001, the story follows Naka, a young factory worker whose week revolves around Saturday ballroom dance class—until he meets Asaka, an office worker who insists she is nothing special. The platform frames it as a carefully drawn romance about two people whose lives keep almost lining up, never quite in the same place at the same time.

Honda is already familiar to Jump+ readers. Earlier one-shots there include "looking for," "Pierce," "Poolside Memories" (also offered in English on MANGA Plus), and "Messenger from Friday," which took the Shonen Jump+ Manga Award in summer 2022. Turning that short-form track record into an ongoing series is a classic publisher bet on a rising voice.

Chapter one, "The First Winds of Spring," is free to read now through Shueisha's official digital channels—another reminder that Jump+'s pipeline keeps feeding MANGA Plus the moment new titles hit Japan.
