One Piece and Hunter x Hunter Lead Oricon Manga Sales Chart
The most recent Oricon weekly manga sales chart has once again proven the staying power of Japan's biggest series. One Piece volume 115 topped the list with a massive 627,567 copies sold during the week of June 29 to July 5. Hunter x Hunter volume 39 followed closely with 401,775 copies, a remarkable feat for a title known for its infrequent but highly anticipated releases.
One-Punch Man volume 37 took third place with 72,589 units. Other notable performers included Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru at number four and Blue Giant Momentum in fifth, showing that both veteran hits and newer entries are capturing reader attention. Previous volumes of popular series also continued to move copies, underlining strong ongoing demand.
These figures reflect a thriving physical manga market in Japan. Many of the chart-topping titles boast or have boasted major anime adaptations, meaning their sales success often fuels further interest in anime, streaming, and related merchandise. The numbers highlight how core otaku readers support the stories they love across formats.
With summer in full swing, the charts will likely see more movement as new volumes hit shelves and anime seasons progress. The strong showings from flagship series like One Piece and Hunter x Hunter demonstrate that dedicated fanbases remain the backbone of the industry.
