Märchen Crown Heads Into Its Final Battle in Young Jump

Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump has confirmed that Märchen Crown—the dark fairytale fantasy from Oshi no Ko and Kaguya-sama: Love is War creator Aka Akasaka—is charging into its final battle. The note landed in the magazine’s 34th issue (on sale July 23), giving readers a clear signal that the series’ endgame is no longer distant.
After a one-week pause, the manga returns in the combined 36th/37th issue on August 6. That short break is standard magazine pacing before a major arc, not a hiatus—so the countdown to the climax is effectively on.
Akasaka writes the story with composition support from Aoi Kujira, while Record of Ragnarok artist Ajichika handles the art. The series launched in Young Jump in March 2025 and has already collected four volumes (the latest shipped June 18). English readers can keep pace via Shueisha’s MANGA Plus simulpub.
The premise reworks classic fairy-tale bones: Rapunzel, raised in isolation atop a tower, meets a boy named Mikel who climbs into her world—and the two set a destiny in motion that aims to remake everything. With the “final battle” banner now official, fans of the creative team’s previous hits finally know how near the finish line is.
