[Oshi No Ko]

Synopsis

In the entertainment industry, stars often present distorted versions of themselves to hide their real struggles behind a facade of lies. Fans embrace these illusions, offering unwavering devotion until the truth shatters. Sixteen-year-old idol Ai Hoshino from the group B Komachi has the world enthralled, but when she announces a hiatus for health reasons, fans grow anxious. Gorou Amemiya, a gynecologist and devoted fan, supports her from his rural clinic, hoping to meet her. His dream is realized when Ai arrives at his hospital, not ill, but expecting twins. As he pledges to ensure a safe delivery, Gorou wonders if this meeting will permanently alter his connection to the idol.

[Oshi no Ko] adapts the first 4 volumes of Aka Akasaka & Mengo Yokoyari's manga series of the same name. It won the award for Anime of the Year in the television series category at the 2024 Tokyo Anime Award Festival.
