Kusunoki High School Glow-Up Anime Drops First Teaser PV & Visual

The glow-up is official: DMM Pictures has launched the full site for the TV anime of Mitsuki Mii’s Kusunoki’s Flunking Her High School Glow-Up, complete with a brand-new teaser promotional video and teaser key visual. The romantic comedy follows two former middle-school wallflowers who reinvented themselves for high school—and the chaos that follows when their pasts collide.

Yuto Uemura voices Keisuke Shizuki, the boy who nailed his makeover but still panics around cute girls. Tomori Kusunoki takes the title role of Shizuka Kusunoki, the campus beauty whose social skills never quite caught up with her looks. Midori Yui directs and handles series composition, with character designs by Kouji Haneda and a score from Hyadain. Animation production is a joint effort by Passione and Hayabusa Film.

Mii’s manga has been running on Pixiv Comic under the Comic POOL label since 2022, with Ichijinsha shipping volume eight later this month. Kodansha USA already publishes the series in English. Fans can stream the teaser PV and browse staff and cast comments on the official site while the broadcast window stays under wraps.
