Kadokawa Wraps Cultural Exchange With Game Center Girl This October

Hirokazu Yasuhara confirmed on Saturday that his long-running arcade comedy Cultural Exchange With Game Center Girl will bow out with its 12th collected volume. Chapter 153, posted last week on Kadokawa's Dra-Dra Sharp# portal, is the series finale, closing a web serialization that has been running since May 2020.

Kadokawa will ship the last Dragon Comics Age tankōbon on October 9. Yasuhara says that book will add after-stories and extra pages beyond the web chapters, so readers who only followed the weekly uploads still have a reason to pick it up. Volume 11 arrived in December 2025; this October release wraps more than six years in print.

The manga started even earlier than its official web run. Yasuhara first tested the idea as a February 2019 Jump GIGA one-shot, then kept drawing British gamer Lily Baker and arcade clerk Renji Kusakabe on X and Pixiv from December of that year until Fujimi Shobo picked the strip up. The final volume follows the pair on a winter trip through the United Kingdom — Big Ben, Harrods, New Year fireworks, and a second, more deliberate confession from Lily.

A 12-episode television adaptation from studio Nomad aired in summer 2025 and streamed worldwide on Crunchyroll with both subtitles and an English dub. Yasuhara has also teased personal Game Center Girl events around the last volume's launch, so the arcade lights are not going dark quite yet.
