Giant Ojō-sama Unveils Teaser Visual, Locks January 2027 Debut

The official site for Giant Ojō-sama (Giant Young Lady) is live, and with it comes a skyline-crushing teaser visual: heiress Oriko Fujidō towering over her city beside rabbit butler Dr. Sebastian. The size-comedy TV anime is locked for a January 2027 premiere, with animation by long-running studio Tatsunoko Production.
Hiroshi Ikehata (WITCH WATCH) takes the director’s chair, backed by assistant director Katsuya Oshima. Hajime Mitsuda handles character design and chief animation direction, while Yū Satō scripts the series composition. Cast names are still under wraps.
Nikumura Q’s Shogakukan web manga follows the ultra-wealthy Oriko, who once received an entire town as a fourth-birthday gift. When a giant invader strikes, her butler hands her an experimental growth drink—and she becomes a colossal defender who might wreck the place as often as she saves it. Volume 12 of the manga ships August 10.
The franchise already ranked high on AnimeJapan’s “most wanted adaptation” polls, so winter 2027 can’t come soon enough for fans hungry for XL-scale slapstick.
