Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Anime Drops Striking New Teaser

Crunchyroll has dropped a sharp new teaser trailer for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, the anime adaptation of the PlayStation game's co-op mode. The short video leans into atmospheric character art, showing three masked fighters in ornate, skull-accented armor amid windswept visuals that echo the source material's iconic style.

The project draws from Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, the standalone multiplayer experience where players take on roles like Ronin, Hunter, and Assassin to battle supernatural foes rooted in Japanese folklore. The teaser art focuses on those classes, setting up a samurai-led story distinct from the main game's solo narrative of Jin Sakai defending Tsushima from Mongol invasion.

Production brings serious firepower. Kamikaze Douga, known for Star Wars: Visions shorts including "The Duel," handles animation. Takanobu Mizuno directs, while Gen Urobuchi and Satoshi Maejima of Nitro+ handle story composition and scripting. Takashi Okazaki, creator of Afro Samurai, provides character designs. HAYATE Inc. oversees production for a worldwide Crunchyroll exclusive.

Revealed in early 2025, the series is slated for 2027. The fresh visuals and stacked creative team have quickly sparked excitement across gaming and anime circles for a mythic, action-packed take on the Tsushima universe.
