Gabriel DropOut Manga Ends After Nearly 13 Years

Heaven’s favorite dropout is hanging up her controller. Author Ukami announced on X this Sunday that Gabriel DropOut will conclude in the October issue of Comic Dengeki Daioh "g", closing a nearly 13-year serialization that began in December 2013.
Kadokawa has kept the gag series on shelves through 16 compiled volumes (the 16th shipped in September 2025), with a final tankōbon expected to wrap the story for print readers. Yen Press carries the English edition; its 16th volume is slated for a mid-December release, so international fans still have a little time left with Gab and company.
The manga’s sleepy, game-addicted angel and her chaotic circle of demons also landed a 12-episode TV anime from Doga Kobo in winter 2017, plus two OVA specials later that spring—still a comfort rewatch for anyone who fell for Satania’s cackle or Vigne’s eternal patience.
Ukami’s farewell post thanked longtime readers first and asked them to see the last chapter through. For a series built on failed angelic duty and pure otaku vibes, ending on its own terms feels oddly perfect—one last level clear before the save file closes.
