The virtual realm just got a lot more real for fans of Destiny Unchain Online: How I Became the Crimson Devil. Official channels confirmed a television anime of resn’s hit battle-fantasy saga on Thursday, complete with celebratory art from character designer and manga artist Yachimoto and a new production social account to track every update.

The story follows Kou Mitsuki—a top-tier gamer better known as Crim the Headhunter—who agrees to stress-test his father’s brand-new full-dive MMO. A nasty system bug strands him inside as a half-blood vampire girl with no logout button in sight. Forced to survive, form a guild, and carve a name as the “Crimson Demon King,” Crim’s misadventures blend dungeon-diving thrills with genderswap comedy and high-stakes player-vs-player drama.

Kodansha already publishes the light novels and Magazine Pocket manga, and English readers can follow the comic on K Manga. No studio, premiere window, or cast has been named yet—staff simply promised more details soon—so the community is already trading adaptation wish lists. For now, the greenlight alone is enough: one of the most bingeable VRMMO titles of recent years is finally headed for the screen.
