Destiny Unchain Online Gets TV Anime as Crimson Devil Dive Begins

The full-dive fantasy Destiny Unchain Online is headed to television. A newly launched official X account confirmed that resn’s novels and Yachimoto’s manga adaptation will receive a TV anime, arriving with a fresh commemorative illustration and a thank-you note from the original author.

The series follows Kou Mitsuki, a middle-schooler with god-tier game sense better known as Crim the Headhunter. When he agrees to beta-test his father’s next-gen VR title, Destiny Unchain Online, a cascade of bugs strands him inside the world—as a vampire girl he cannot log out of. What starts as a disastrous three-month test run becomes a chaotic adventure that eventually earns him the moniker “Crimson Demon Lord.”

Yachimoto, who handles both the light novel illustrations and the Magazine Pocket manga, drew celebratory art for the reveal. Resn publicly thanked the artist, staff, and readers, saying the team had finally reached the day fans hoped for and inviting newcomers to discover DUO. Kodansha’s K MANGA already offers the manga in English, and the Japanese tankōbon line has just hit volume 13.

Studio, cast, and premiere window remain under wraps for now. With the official @DUO_animePR account live and the adaptation greenlit, the next drop of production details should decide when Crim’s crimson-eyed login screen finally rolls in anime form.
