Crunchyroll Locks In 'The Elusive Samurai' Season 2 for Global Simulcast

Crunchyroll has secured exclusive streaming rights for the second season of The Elusive Samurai, ensuring international fans will get new episodes day-and-date with the Japanese broadcast.
The series, created by Yusei Matsui, follows the young Tokiyuki Hojo as he uses his natural agility and cunning to survive the brutal Nanboku-cho period. Season 1 stood out for its inventive, almost playful fight choreography and a tone that balanced serious historical stakes with sharp humor.
CloverWorks is returning to handle animation duties. The new licensing agreement continues Crunchyroll's pattern of locking down high-profile Shueisha properties early, giving the platform another major ongoing title in a crowded 2025 season.
The deal covers multiple territories and reinforces the service's position as the primary home for big Jump action series outside Japan. Fans who have been waiting for confirmation since the first season's finale now have a clear path to follow Tokiyuki's next chapter without delay.
