Crunchyroll Locks ELECEED Worldwide at AnimagiC, Plus October Slate

Crunchyroll used its AnimagiC 2026 panel in Germany to lock a fresh batch of streaming rights, led by the high-profile webtoon adaptation ELECEED. The service will carry the DandeLion Animation Studio series worldwide (outside Japan and China) when it debuts in early 2027—after the project slipped from a once-planned 2026 window.

The same announcement filled out fall and winter calendars. FX Fighter Kurumi-chan, The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World II, The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life, and Uncle’s Obsession with Cute Things are all slated for Crunchyroll in October (with Uncle’s locking an October 4 premiere), while Shangri-La Frontier Season 3 is set for January 2027. Territorial packages vary by title, but most cover the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

For webtoon and isekai fans, the package is a double win: a billion-view battle-action hit finally has a global streaming home, and several fall TV newcomers will ride alongside it without waiting for after-the-fact pickups. Crunchyroll also rolled out the English dub of Sound! Euphonium Season 1 the same weekend—handy for band-anime regulars, but clearly secondary to the licensing haul.

Mark your calendars: October for the new TV slate, early 2027 for ELECEED, and January 2027 for Shangri-La Frontier Season 3. Availability still depends on region, so check your local Crunchyroll catalog when the windows open.
