A Returner's Magic Season 2 Drops First Promo and a Shinjuku Preview Date

Desir Arman's next reversal now has a clock. On Friday the official site for A Returner's Magic Should Be Special Season 2 posted the first promotional video and a refreshed production slate, locking the Korean fantasy sequel into Fuji TV's +Ultra block in October. New episodes land late Wednesday nights at 24:45 (Thursday 12:45 a.m.), and Crunchyroll will carry the run outside Asia.

Taishi Kawaguchi is back in the director's chair at Arvo Animation, the studio behind the 12-episode 2023 first season. Takamitsu Kouno returns for series composition and scripts, and Hiromi Katou stays on character designs. The Shadow World's look is getting new hands: Daisuke Negishi takes over as art director, with Satoshi Fujimoto, Taiga Saitou, Takeshi Mukai, and Tetsuo Imaizumi joining art design. Gou Sadamatsu is the new editor, and Hayate is listed among the production companies. The studio is hanging Kawaguchi's recent episode-direction work on Kowloon Generic Romance next to his name.

The promo puts Desir, wind mage Romantica Eru, swift swordfighter Pram Schneider, and ice magic knight Azest Kingscrown back in motion as the returner's next fight to rewrite a doomed future. Takuma Terashima, Sayumi Suzushiro, Natsumi Fujiwara, and Asami Seto reprise the four leads. FLOW is back with the opening "Sorrow," written for this season, while krage handles the ending "Everlasting."

Before broadcast, the production is staging a special screening at Shinjuku Wald 9 on October 3, with those four voice actors on stage. Ticket Pia opened lottery sales the same day. Usonan and Wookjakga's KakaoPage manhwa remains the source, still rolling in English through Tappytoon and Yen Press.
