Synopsis
With its flickering streetlights, moldy back alleys, and bustling inhabitants, the Second Kowloon Walled City—despite the decay of its already-demolished predecessor—evokes a unique nostalgia that its residents find charming. Within the confines of this fading yet cherished environment lives Reiko Kujirai, a 32-year-old real estate agent deeply in love with her colleague, Hajime Kudou, who is two years younger. Although they have their disagreements, the two get along well enough to share the pleasures of the walled city together. But everything begins to unravel when Kudou, half-asleep, suddenly kisses Kujirai—apparently returning the feelings she has not yet confessed. However, when Kudou explains that he mistook her for someone else, Kujirai is drawn into a chain of events that lead her to a past she cannot recall.
