Fool Night Taps Enoki, Endo, and Mizuuchi for November 26 Netflix Drop

Netflix used its Anime NYC 2026 panel to put faces and a calendar date on Fool Night, the adaptation of Kasumi Yasuda's sci-fi seinen manga. A second teaser promo arrived with three new Japanese voice actors, and the streamer locked a worldwide exclusive launch for November 26 — every episode at once.

Junya Enoki (Jujutsu Kaisen) is Akira Yatsuka, Aya Endo (The Ancient Magus' Bride) is Saeko Kanaeno, and Kiyomitsu Mizuuchi (Ergo Proxy) is Jin Hiragishi. They slot in beside the previously announced leads: Koki Uchiyama as cash-strapped Toshiro Kamiya, and Minako Kotobuki as transfloration worker Yomiko Horai.

The series is the first joint production between Sunrise and Shaft. Atsushi Yukawa directs, Jin Tanaka handles series composition, Robert Sato designs the characters, and Tatsuya Kato writes the score. Yasuda's manga, still running in Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior, follows a cloud-locked Earth that keeps breathing by turning the dying into plants — and Kamiya is the young man who volunteers for that fate.

Staff notes on the official site frame the show as a slow, trust-the-viewer drama rather than a loud collapse, which matches the new teaser's cold, plant-haunted look. English-language footage also played in New York, signaling a same-day global push when the series lands this fall.
