Cheat Fuyo Reveals Extra Staff and Action Teaser for October

The official site for The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a New Life — P.A. Works' take on Asa Rokushima's endlessly titled isekai, better known as Cheat Fuyo — just rolled out a second teaser and a much thicker stack of production credits. The new clip is billed as an action promo, and it points toward an October 2026 premiere on TV Tokyo and its network partners.

Shu Honma (Mayonaka Punch) is directing, with Yoko Yonaiyama handling series composition and Yuito Kiyosawa designing the cast. Fresh names on the board include Noboru Sugimitsu for monster design and action animation direction, Kayoko Nabeta as main animator, Yoko Kamiyama as art director, and Alisa Okehazama scoring the show. Mitsuhito Tsuji is producing the animation.

The story follows Rein Garland, a support mage who can slap "enhancement points" onto weapons, armor, or basically anything — and yank those buffs back whenever he feels like it. After his guild boots him for being too good at the job, he starts a second life as an adventurer while his old party watches their borrowed power evaporate. Daiki Yamashita voices Rein, with Lynn as S-rank swordswoman Lily Flambert.

Rokushima first posted the tale on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2021. Kodansha's manga by Gyomuyomochi just shipped its 21st volume, and the official site now touts more than 1.4 million copies in print. Crunchyroll has already claimed the fall simulcast.
