Cheat Fuyo Reveals Extra Staff and Action Teaser for October

The official site for The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a New Life just posted the rest of the production slate and a second teaser built around combat. Better known as Cheat Fuyo, the October TV Tokyo show is P.A. Works adapting Asa Rokushima's long-titled fantasy — via Gyomuyomochi's manga — and the new credits lean hard into that fight language: Noboru Sugimitsu (Charlotte) as monster designer and action animation director, Kayoko Nabeta as main animator, plus Yoko Kamiyama (Fruits Basket) on art direction and Yoichiro Sato (White Album 2) behind the camera.

The bench does not stop at drawings. Alisa Okehazama, the composer who scored Jujutsu Kaisen, is writing the music. Ryosuke Naya is sound director, Yasumasa Koyama (No Game No Life) handles effects, and Mitsuhito Tsuji (Ya Boy Kongming!) produces the animation under director Shu Honma, whose Mayonaka Punch timing should sit well next to a story that treats enhancement-point cheats and dungeon slapstick as the same toolkit.

The new promo — labeled an action teaser — drops Rain Garland and the Blue Crystal party into a sealed dungeon against the Phosphorescent Dragon. S-rank Lily, warrior Margaret, and assassin Mirabel all go in swinging while Rain's buff magic rewrites the fight mid-swing. After months of stills, it is the first real argument that P.A. Works intends to animate the manga's chaos instead of sanding it down.

Kodansha's Getsumaga Kichi run, designed from kisui's character drafts, shipped volume 21 this month and sits past 1.4 million copies. Rokushima has joked that the novels and comics are "about 99 percent different"; the TV series is following the manga remix. Broadcast remains October 2026 on the TV Tokyo network.
