Humans, weak due to their lack of magic and fragile bodies, face extinction at the hands of the other Exceed. Hope arises when Riku encounters Schwi, a powerful Ex-Machina, in an abandoned elf city. Cast out from her Cluster for exploring human emotions, Schwi believes that grasping these feelings holds the key to humanity's survival and is determined to understand the human spirit. Amidst the chaos, Riku and Schwi form an unexpected alliance, finding solutions to their individual weaknesses in one another as they fight for survival. Together, they set out to uncover the essence of humanity and prevent its destruction, striving to bring harmony to all of Disboard.

In this installment

In the world of Disboard, where the supreme deity Tet reigns, sixteen sentient races exist together. Humanity, referred to as Imanity, is the weakest of them all because they have no magical abilities. In this realm, every conflict is settled through games, and it seems that humans have no hope left. But everything changes when two strangers suddenly appear. On Earth, Sora and Shiro are step-siblings who live as reclusive gaming geniuses. They go by the name "Blank" and are unbeatable in every online game they play. They see life as a boring game until they receive a mysterious message that pulls them into Disboard. Tet, the one who sent the message, explains the strict rules of this world before disappearing, leaving Sora and Shiro to figure out their new surroundings. They find refuge in Elkia, the last remaining human kingdom. In Elkia, they meet Stephanie Dola, a passionate young woman who is determined to claim the throne she believes belongs to her father. Her impulsive behavior makes it hard for her to succeed. Seeing her resolve, Sora and Shiro decide to help Stephanie restore Elkia, with their ultimate goal being to take control of this puzzling world.
