On Earth, Sora and Shiro are step-siblings who live as reclusive gaming geniuses. They go by the name "Blank" and are unbeatable in every online game they play. They see life as a boring game until they receive a mysterious message that pulls them into Disboard. Tet, the one who sent the message, explains the strict rules of this world before disappearing, leaving Sora and Shiro to figure out their new surroundings. They find refuge in Elkia, the last remaining human kingdom. In Elkia, they meet Stephanie Dola, a passionate young woman who is determined to claim the throne she believes belongs to her father. Her impulsive behavior makes it hard for her to succeed. Seeing her resolve, Sora and Shiro decide to help Stephanie restore Elkia, with their ultimate goal being to take control of this puzzling world.
