Cheat Fuyo Reveals Extra Staff and Dragon-Sized Action Teaser

The official site for The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a New Life just buffed its production roster and rolled out a second teaser built for combat. Better known as Cheat Fuyo, the TV adaptation of Asa Rokushima’s long-titled fantasy is still locked for an October 2026 debut on TV Tokyo, with P.A. Works and director Shuu Honma steering the chaos.
Fresh credits lean hard into spectacle. Noboru Sugimitsu joins for monster design and action animation direction, Kayoko Nabeta handles main animation, and the art bench fills out with Youko Kamiyama on backgrounds, Hiromi Makino on props, and Motonari Ichikawa directing 3D. Music comes from Alisa Okehazama, with sound direction by Ryousuke Naya—names that signal the show wants its dungeon scrapes as loud as its punchlines.
The new action promo puts that promise on screen: Rain and his party face the Phosphorescent Dragon inside an unforgiving dungeon, with S-rank Lily, B-rank Margaret, and assassin Mirabel trading blows while Rain’s enhancement magic tips the fight. Core cast remains Daiki Yamashita as Rain, Lynn as Lily, Yoshino Aoyama as Margaret, and Miyu Tomita as Mirabel.
Kodansha’s manga adaptation by Youmochi Gyoumu has already cleared volume 21, so the anime arrives with a deep backlog of gag-soaked adventure. If the teaser is any hint, October’s guild-exile reboot is aiming for buffs, banter, and boss fights in equal measure.
