AVIOT Unlocks U.S. Pre-Orders for Evangelion 30th Collab Earbuds

Japanese audio house AVIOT just opened U.S. pre-orders on its TE-V1R-EVA true wireless set, a 30th-anniversary collaboration with Neon Genesis Evangelion that treats the plugs like a pocket-sized Eva artifact. Units are slated to ship from late October, with the Japan list price sitting at ¥22,880.

The hardware is AVIOT’s flagship TE-V1R — about 19 hours on a charge, 62 with the case, adaptive hybrid noise canceling, LDAC hi-res, and wireless charging — recast in white-and-silver armor. The spears of Longinus and Cassius ride the buds themselves, while the case wears a Unit-01-inspired mark. The real collector bait is the box: a brand-new illustration of Rei Ayanami and Asuka Shikinami Langley in plugsuits, wearing the earbuds, drawn only for this drop.

A companion app swaps in nine freshly recorded voice banks for power-on chimes and a “random voice” reel of series quotes — more than 160 new lines in all. You can flip between Shinji Ikari, Rei, Asuka, Mari Makinami Illustrious, Misato Katsuragi, Ritsuko Akagi, Kaworu Nagisa, Gendo Ikari, and Ryoji Kaji whenever the mood (or the AT Field) shifts.

Singer Yoko Takahashi, the voice behind “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis,” personally signed off on the sound profile, chasing clear, youthful vocals over a heavier low end. For Eva fans who already own the figures, this is the rare collab you can actually live in — and the U.S. window just opened.
