Ave Mujica Film Drops First Trailer, Locks October 16 Japan Debut

The masked band is heading back to the big screen. At Thursday’s Bandori TV LIVE, Bushiroad locked a firm Japan premiere date for the theatrical continuation of its gothic girl-band saga: BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora will open nationwide on October 16, 2026, backed by a brand-new trailer and key visual.

Official posts confirm the feature is all-new animation, picking up six months after Ave Mujica’s comeback rather than simply recycling TV footage. Fresh casual-outfit character art for the five members dropped alongside the promo, and advance tickets go on sale from August 15 at theaters, online outlets, and Animate stores.

Music stays front and center. Ave Mujica’s mini-album Kami no na wo (“In the Name of God”) arrives October 21 with four new songs, including insert tracks from the film—so the soundtrack window sits just days after opening weekend. Returning voices from the TV series include Kanon Takao (Sakiko / Oblivionis), Yuzuki Watase (Mutsumi / Mortis), Rico Sasaki (Uika / Doloris), Akane Yonezawa (Nyamu / Amoris), and Mei Okada (Umiri / Timoris), with the MyGO!!!!! cast also listed among the ensemble.

For fans who followed the January 2025 Sanzigen series Ave Mujica: The Die is Cast (directed by Kodai Kakimoto), this is the next full-length chapter of the masquerade. Keep an eye on BanG Dream! and the project’s official X for theater lists and further trailers as fall approaches.
