Arvo Animation Locks Oct. 6 Debut for Super Psychic Policeman Chojo

Arvo Animation has a firm launch pad for its next comedy. The studio’s TV adaptation of Shun Numa’s Super Psychic Policeman Chojo will premiere October 6 at 11:00 p.m. on Kansai TV, Fuji TV, and affiliates—locking a Tuesday-night slot for the fall 2026 season.

The production reunites a proven crew behind the mic and the desk: Junichi Yamamoto directs, Hayashi Mori oversees series composition and scripts, and Masakatsu Sasaki handles character designs. Arvo Animation sits at the center of the pipeline, turning Numa’s Jump-born odd-couple cop story into weekly animation.

The series follows psychic senior officer Meguru Chojo and judo black-belt rookie Nao Ippongi as they keep the peace in sleepless Chinjuku—mind-reading, clairvoyance, and pure physical grit included. English readers already know the manga via Viz Media and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus simulpub.
