Synopsis
On Whale Island, young Gon Freecss manages to catch the legendary Master of the Swamp. After presenting the giant fish to his aunt Mito, she honors her promise and lets him participate in the dangerous Hunter Exam. Passing this test grants special travel privileges and rewards, drawing thousands of applicants annually despite its extreme risks. Driven by his ambition to follow his father's path—a renowned Hunter—Gon embarks on his journey to understand the profession firsthand. Along the way, he encounters the first of many challenges the exam has prepared.
