Synopsis
Kazuya Kujou, a Japanese student attending the opulent Saint Marguerite Academy in the Southern European nation of Sauville, remains isolated due to his distinct jet-black hair and dark brown eyes, which have earned him the foreboding moniker "Black Reaper." While searching the school's grand library for tales of ghosts, he notices a mysterious strand of golden hair on the stairs. This clue guides him to a vast garden where he encounters Victorique de Blois, a girl with a doll-like appearance and the uncanny ability to foresee future events. As their destinies intertwine, they become entangled in a series of enigmatic incidents, ranging from a phantom ship to an alchemist wielding powers of transmutation. Linked by fate and their unique talents, Kazuya and Victorique must depend on one another to unravel these baffling mysteries.
Background
The 11th episode of Gosick was originally scheduled for broadcast on March 19, but had to be postponed to April 2 due to emergency broadcast related to the devastating March 11 earthquake and tsunami. The anime again met some trouble when Bandai Entertainment stopped releasing new DVDs, cancelling the series’ scheduled US DVD/Blu-ray release.
