Synopsis
In 1947, the residents of Shinjuku are struggling to get by. With barely enough money for food and essentials, many turn to gambling as a means of survival. The wandering Tetsuya frequents Mahjong parlors, where he decisively defeats his opponents. But after encountering the exceptionally talented Boushu-san, Tetsuya comes to understand that his own abilities are still far from sufficient.
