Detroit Metal City
デトロイト・メタル・シティ
Synopsis
At the core of the underground music scene stands Detroit Metal City (DMC), an extreme death metal group infamous for their dark and provocative image. Their flamboyant frontman, Johannes Krauser II, is rumored to be a demonic entity sent to conquer humanity, and DMC rules the scene. Yet beneath Krauser II lurks Souichi Negishi, an ordinary university graduate. Soft-spoken, gentle, and a fan of Swedish pop, Negishi only performs with DMC to pay his bills. "Detroit Metal City" comically follows his struggle to balance his chaotic band life, a budding romance, and the fanatical devotion of his followers.
Background
Detroit Metal City's name originated from the song Detroit Rock City by the band KISS.
