Synopsis

When you gaze upward, what do you see? Maybe a clear sky, a symbol of liberty, or a bright tomorrow. But for the people of Tokyo, the view is grim. An alien mothership hangs ominously above, blocking the city's skyline. The "Invaders" arrived three years ago, triggering the greatest war in human history—one that could bring about the end of the world. Japan's government responded by ramping up arms production, sparking fierce arguments and fueling peace movements. Still, daily life goes on mostly unchanged. Kadode Koyama and Ouran Nakagawa are ordinary high school girls, focused on classes, hanging out with friends, and enjoying their youth. As they get older, they begin to understand what adulthood truly means in a world where grown-ups often seem like deceitful, destructive demons. In time, they realize the real threat to humanity isn't the Invaders at all—it's humanity itself.
