Synopsis
This story follows four girls who exist within the "Dark Side" of Academy City. In Academy City, where extrasensory perception (ESP) is treated as established science, a hidden organization operates behind the scenes, handling missions that cannot be disclosed to the public. ITEM is an elite squad composed of four female members. Takitsubo Rikou possesses the ability to sense and trace the AIM fields emitted by espers. Frenda Seivelun specializes in combat using explosives and traps. Kinuhata Saiai can freely control nitrogen and serves a defensive role. Mugino Shizuri is one of the seven Level 5 espers Academy City boasts. They live freely within the city's shadows, quietly setting their sights on their objectives. This is a tale of encounters, friendship, and darkness that ultimately leads to a catastrophic incident.
