Synopsis

Continues the story of The Eden of Grisaia

In "The Eden of Grisaia," the narrative picks up immediately after "Grisaia no Meikyuu." Kazami Yuuji is arrested on terrorism charges after a video surfaces that appears to confirm his guilt, with Ichigaya taking charge of his detention. Although Ichigaya knows Yuuji is innocent of these crimes, he holds him because Yuuji failed to neutralize Heath Oslo, the leader of a terrorist group wielding an extremely dangerous weapon. Ichigaya has hidden motives for keeping Yuuji in custody. Yet, Yuuji may still find a way to salvation. The girls of Mihama Academy refuse to see him exploited for political gain, and a mysterious new figure suddenly appears to aid them.

In the wake of the Heath Oslo incident, the US-Japanese counterterrorism unit CIRS was revealed to the public and underwent a significant reorganization. As part of this shift, SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development) was established, an organization dedicated to training a new generation of operatives to protect the nation. SORD runs several specialized training schools across the country, including the formerly abandoned Mihama Academy, which has been repurposed as one of these facilities. At Mihama, a varied group of young women with unique skills undergo intensive training, frequently involving real firearms and field missions. Despite the dangers, these students are often deployed on secret operations to maintain national security. Their lives are committed to defending the realm, even at great personal sacrifice. "Our existence has been recognized, but mere acknowledgment is not enough—it means nothing without purpose. Simply being used by others isn't sufficient; we must rely on our own strength and fight to survive. Only then can we hope to find redemption..." Faced with these challenges, what awaits these girls who have chosen the path of armed combat?
